The Orientation Program 2024 at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) was a well-organized and memorable event designed to warmly welcome the incoming freshman class. The program brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests to celebrate the beginning of the new academic journey for the students.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Shri CK Prasad, Dean of IRISET, as the Chief Guest, who delivered an inspiring address, motivating the young minds as they embark on this new phase of their lives. Two Guests of Honor, Ms. Anupma Ranjan, Vice President of Talent Acquisition (India & Philippines) at FactSet, and Mr. Sarath Dandala, Director and Central Engineering – Asia Head at Micron, also shared their valuable insights, offering encouragement and advice to the freshmen.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by the Vice Principal, who highlighted the significance of this new chapter in the students’ lives. Following this, the Principal delivered a comprehensive speech, providing an in-depth overview of the institute’s rich history, core values, and the numerous opportunities awaiting the students. The Principal’s address served as a guiding light, helping the freshmen understand the ethos of MGIT while setting high expectations for their academic and personal growth.
A key segment of the program focused on student welfare, with a dedicated session on anti-ragging measures. The institute’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging was reinforced, ensuring students and parents that MGIT provides a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, an informative session on academic regulations was conducted, where students were briefed on the rules, procedures, and standards they need to follow throughout their academic journey, ensuring they are well-prepared for a disciplined and successful college life.
